In recent years, the Georgian Hotel has built a reputation as an events space, thanks to the likes of 50rpm bringing top touring and local acts to perform at the hotel, and Colin Scougall hosting his extremely popular tribute & cabaret afternoons & evenings.

Most weekends we have live music in our bar, with popular local musicians performing hits from the 60s through to the present day.

At least twice a month the revered music club 50rpm puts on shows in either our Garden Suite or our Corinthian Suite, featuring a mix of new and established original acts. Recent guests include Richard Jobson (The Skids), JJ Gilmour (The Silencers), John Bramwell (I Am Kloot), Briana Corrigan (The Beautiful South), Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Tom Robinson, Boo Hewerdine, Ewan MacFarlane (Apollo 400 & Grim Northern Social), Amanda Anne Platt, The Mammals, Danni Nicholls, Andy White, Wreckless Eric, Martin Metcalfe (Goodbye Mr MacKenzie), Nick Harper, Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze) and many more.

At least 4 times a year, local legend Colin Scougall puts on his famous Ladies afternoons, where he brings the best tribute & cabaret acts to town. Recent shows include tributes to ABBA, Shania Twain, The Proclaimers, Rod Stewart, Kenny Rogers, Cher, and many more.
